As a QuickTime VR producer I especially enjoy creating custom applications in Director that make good use of this new medium.
Richard Vallon, a friend who is also a QTVR photographer, joined my family and I for cafe' au lait and beignets at the Cafe' Du Monde in the New Orleans' French Quarter. We each shot a pano at 1pm. His was taken inside the dining room and I photographed the patio dining area. His pano is linked to mine and vice versa. The lady taking a bite of a beignet is my wife Rosemary with our son Nicky to her right and our daughter(s) Maddy to her left. The other people are a mix of tourists and locals that frequent this famous place 24 hours a day 364 days a year. After we ate and took our pictures we hung out in the Quarter for a while to see the Christmas parade which was cancelled as it was pouring rain at 1pm. We went to a number of gift shops on Decatur and Chartres Streets including a place called the Natural Selection which had a 14 ft (4.25m) alligator. We eventually ate again at Johnny White's Po-Boys on St Louis. I had a fried catfish poboy, Richard had the seafood-okra gumbo, Rosemary had a fried ham and swiss cheese poboy and the kids had french fries and Barq's Rootbeers.
